Over 5,900 runners join Rose Pharmacy’s biggest-ever Cancer Warrior Run in Cebu

CEBU CITY— More than 5,900 runners came together at Gatewalk Central, Ayala Center Cebu, for the 2026 Cancer Warrior Run, marking the event’s biggest turnout to date and bringing renewed hope to children and families battling cancer.

The event also marked seven years of partnership between Rose Pharmacy and the Cancer Warrior Foundation, a collaboration that continues to support young cancer warriors and their families.

As part of its commitment to its advocacy, Rose Pharmacy turned over a ₱1-million donation to the Cancer Warrior Foundation to help sustain programs providing patient assistance, education, advocacy, and psychosocial support.

“Every registration, every sponsorship, every donation, and every kilometer run today helps improve the lives of children battling cancer,” said Michael So, general manager of Rose Pharmacy.

“Reaching our highest-ever participation of over 5,900 runners and celebrating seven years of partnership with the Cancer Warrior Foundation reflects the tremendous support and shared purpose of our community,” he added.

Runners of all ages and backgrounds—including cancer survivors, families and advocates—joined the event to celebrate resilience, promote wellness and rally behind children and adolescents facing cancer.

Carmen Auste, chief executive officer of Cancer Warrior Foundation Inc., thanked Rose Pharmacy and its customers for their continued support, saying the ₱1-million contribution will help the organization continue its programs for young cancer warriors and their families.

“Let us continue to support and speak out for children and adolescents with cancer,” Auste said.

“Because of their commitment and because of your generosity, many dreams of children battling cancer will become a reality,” Auste added.

The Cancer Warrior Run continues to champion the cause of empowering young cancer warriors while encouraging communities to stand with them through the campaign #HeROSEforHOPE.

With every step taken across the finish line, participants carried the same message of solidarity: a step for hope, a step for healing, and a step toward a brighter future for children battling cancer.

The Cancer Warrior Foundation is a Philippine-based patient support organization serving children and adolescents with cancer, childhood cancer survivors, and their families through patient assistance, education, advocacy, and psychosocial support.###
